In this post I want to start a discussion that heaps of my readers keep mentioning but then skirting around. Social Problems, America and the future repercussions of todays trajectory. I am willing to bet that most of you don’t know that America became a net importer decades ago now. It is a fact that gets ignored far too often. What does it mean? In its simplest form it means that we buy more stuff from overseas and import more energy in from overseas than we make for ourselves and export. Yes, this is a big deal because it means independence is lost, we are reliant on things from overseas to maintain our current situation.
It is no different to you spending more money than you earn: eventually the credit card will stop working and the heavies knock on your door to start repossessing things. We are living in the twilight time between the phone call from the debt recovery agent demanding payment and that knock on the door.
Without production industries America has moved to service industries. Financial services do little more than bleed money from lower classes.
PROBLEM: MANUFACTURING PRODUCTIVITY IS A THING OF THE PAST
Hands up who can remember when things were actually manufactured in America!
If you have got your hand up, take a break and sit down (you must be well into your 90s now).
It has just become an accepted truth now that manufacturing products in America is just too hard and too expensive. Of course, very seldom does anyone ever think beyond the previous statement but I will.
Losing manufacturing means that a country loses a hell of a lot more. All those technical skills are gone, all the money created but on a more personal side all the pride associated with local industries and locally made goods.
PROBLEM: THE FIAT FINANCIAL SYSTEM IS SPECULATIVE
American currency because speculative back in 1971 when it stopped being backed by gold. Now that it is not backed by gold its value is largely back by international supply and demand (predominantly from the sale of oil from the Middle East to the international market in American Dollars).
The better known terminology is a petro-dollar. Do you research and education yourself to protect yourself.
When you do you will also see that money can never set you free (unless you are born into one of the few family who own the central banks that it).
PROBLEM: VOLCANIC DEBT LEVELS
Do a little bit of research into America’s debt levels and you will soon make up your own opinion as to whether you think the economy can recover or not. The only people I hear publicly speak positively about a recovery are the incredibly technical type of financiers (the ones who invent all those third or fourth tier options systems that no one can understand). Fraudsters.
As always, the type of advice your granddad would have given you is still good advice: If you can’t explain it to an idiot – it’s too complicated, and probably is like that to hide something from you (aka the idiot).
PROBLEM: FEAR COMPOUNDS EMOTIONS AND CRITICISM SHIFTS ACCOUNTABILITY
Fear is the reason why all these important facts just get ignored.
The emotion of fear is used to cloud the facts behind a mass disguise of emotions. Who creates all the underlying culture of fear?
Back in the olden days we had wars which were used to create fear and patriotism. Now it has crept all the way into our home design and cereal packets. TV ads promote segregation. Marketing campaigns divide us all from each other and even the products we consume are used as guides on how to identify yourself into a complicated caste system.
All the division leads to criticism which ultimately leads to naivety and stupidity. Cue the fear of ignorance.
PROBLEM: FUTURE WILL ALWAYS BE BARREN WHILST THE EDUCATION OF OUR CHILDREN IS STERILE
Unfortunately, political correctness has turned education systems into wastelands of teacher’s past. They still look like schools and smell like school but the substance has just been stripped away. Fear of offence and fear of litigation (all created by political correctness gone too far) drives behaviour and sterilises people into all behaving in very uncreative ways.
PROBLEM: CULTURE OF APATHY AND DEPENDENCE ON GOVERNMENT. TOO MANY SAFETY NETS.
If you have had the luxury of grandparents they will relish in telling you all the stories of hard times. Times when food was reigning down out of the sky and when free handout money wasn’t falling from the sky.
The thing that they hold back on though is telling you that it was the hard times that build character and that teach restraint and ultimately define a person’s success.
With all the safety nets in place it is no wonder that laziness and complacency is now the norm, after all there is always someone else there ready to pick up your slack.
QUESTION: IS HISTORY REPEATING ITSELF? CERTAINLY LOOKS THAT WAY TO ME
Probably one of the results from a meagre education system is the inevitable outcome that human nature will gravitate towards a decline into disorder.
I have studied the decline of the roman empire and see a lot of similarities between their last stages and what modern culture resembles today. Surprisingly enough for me was the level of violence. When men in particular deny their own natural instincts a lot of serious repercussions soon follow (today we are see widespread mental health issue with men, sky high suicide rates and mass unemployment).
With women the decline was more shown by over-emphasis or over-inflating their natural instincts to nest, gather resources and seek security.
MY SOLUTION: ALTERNATIVE EDUCATION, PRODUCTIVE WORK, FOCUS & PERSEVERENCE WHICH TARGET YOUR PERSONAL FREEDOM
It is not all bad new though, please don’t let me make that impression for a minute. It is only bad new if you buy into it and let the wave wash you away with them.
For those of you smart enough to dig your heels in and walk your own path an entire community of like-minded people await you.
I see a new type of community of people seeking freedom. They are digital nomads; they are expatriates; they are sea changers; they are minimalists; they are tiny house dwellers; they are the preppers; they are sometimes backpackers and world travellers but generally they are people nebulously migrating away from high civilisation towards their roots.

Hi there, My friends call me Remy. I am a middle aged divorcee that has decided not to walk the path other people decided to set down for me. I have gained the most strength in my life from my failures. Resilience is a very powerful attribute if you can manage it, I am still building mine up but stick with me and we can forge ahead together.
